On February 27, hit singer-songwriter Ace Banzuelo personally graced PRM’s headquarters to collect his well-earned royalties and answer fun music questions.
Known for his soothing vocals and gutting lyricism, he has produced songs that have become part of numerous playlists. His hauntingly beautiful and chart-topping song “Muli” has amassed millions of streams on social media platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, and YouTube, and continues to be a heartbreak anthem for those who struggle to move past a love that could have been. The song, which boomed in 2022, brought Ace to public recognition and, consequently, entitled him to the royalties he recently received from PRM.
In his brief interview with us, Ace did not shy away from showing his witty side. When asked about the most recent song he listened to, he jokingly answered “Jumbo Hotdog” by Masculados. He also quipped that he sees Cocomelon as a dream international collaboration, recognizing the YouTube channel’s recent tour in the Philippines. Despite his lighthearted approach to the interview, Ace nevertheless did not forget to express his gratitude to his fans, Solace, for their immense support and teased a song in the works.
On March 20, Ace announced that he will be releasing his new song “Kilala” on the 28th of March. “It’s about soulmates (I think),” he captions in his Instagram post. His fans were quick to express their support and anticipation for this release—another song to relate to, as many commenters mentioned.
